Amber Benson bio
Amber Benson (born April 14, 1970) is an American actor, performer, writer and director. She was best known as Tara Maclay in the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Additionally, she produced as well as directed and appeared in her own film Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. She also acted as the bride in the Kiss the Bride movie. Benson was born on January 8, 1977, in Birmingham Alabama the daughter of Diane Benson and Edward Benson a psychiatrist. Danielle Benson is her sibling and an accomplished artist. Benson attended the Reform Jewish synagogue as she grew in her teens. Her mother, who was Southern Baptist and raised Jewish by her father, is too Jewish. After Buffy ended Benson has been in movies like The Killing Jar and on shows like Morganville The Series. In the background, Benson used her writing talent to create her own Ghosts of Albion television series. In 2010 she directed Drones. Buffy states that she's found and counted at least 1800 Slayers, 500 of whom are part of the Scooby Gang.
